A good Project Management Solutions software that suits my EPM needs is called valleyspeak project server, which I found at http://www.valleyspeak.com. One of the main reasons why I like the software is the fact that I could continue to work in Microsoft Project 2007 while sharing my Microsoft Project plans with my teams.

Because it is a hosted service, I did not have to buy expensive software or deal with installation and maintenance headaches. The functionality that I have with valleyspeak to manage my geographically dispersed teams works well for me. We also evaluated with some other solutions but were not impressed.

Fortunately enough, I was at a point where I could add all new and current projects, so I did it manually. I didn't notice any import routine or mapping. My hunch is that you'd be better off starting from scratch.

The most tedious part was keying in the client list, but I just started w/our most active and then add as needed.

Yes, I've looked a many solutions. For us, MyIntervals is the best fit at that price point.

As a side note, we now have a month of data as we did spend the time to enter in time from the beginning of November. That means we can really get a good idea of reporting. It's pretty nice.

Quick questions: Was migrating your data from Celoxis easy or was it a manual/tedious process? And did the myintervals people help you make the move? Finally have you had the chance to check other solutions before settling on myintervals?

This is too wild. I was just looking at a comment and noticed that John, last comment, is from the company that wrote MyIntervals. We just moved from Celoxis to MyIntervals and absolutely love it. Just think, had I clicked his name back in August, we would have discovered the app that much sooner.

Great point, John. As a matter of fact, my next post is about site structure but I also agree that a scalable architecture is key to making the redesign less cumbersome. We're in the midst of reworking a custom CMS and one of our first milestones was to restructure the code to make it more scalable.

Good list. Often times the site being redesigned was in bad shape to begin with. While rebuilding it, remember to develop an infrastructure that will support future revisions, and possibly even another redesign.

Internal linking is also important when it comes to keyword rich links. But only after external links, that is.
